Part of my birthday festivities was a weekend away with my love and did we ever enjoy it. He picked a fantastic place to go and stay and we really enjoyed ourselves.
On our way there we stopped by these caves called the "Hellfire Caves". Now. Bascially, if you read just a little bit between the lines these caves were used for rich white men to hold orgies with easy ladies. It was truly rather obvious when you walked through. But also super awesome to see. I have some more photos on my camera I might post.
We stayed at a lovely, lovely, lovely hotel. The location and setting were beautiful, the fine dining experience was not, but oh well, you can't have it all, but you CAN write a review on Tripadvisor. The man was a bit miffed about it, as he is a planner, but some things you cannot plan for.
All in all, a great weekend and now back to the grind.

So, I am 39 now and I still haven't made my list. I do feel like there are a few things I want to do though;) It will come when I have the mind space to think about it.
Last week, I jumped back on the 5:2 wagon that I fell off off when I went to the US. Friday was my fasting day and I felt fantastic on Saturday and Sunday.
Monday was another fasting day. I am trying to get back into a Monday/Friday or so fasting pattern. I have gotten a tad too fluffy for my taste, probably because I stopped the fasting but continued with my chocolate habit on my non-fasting day, something that was definitely a habit I picked because it seemed to work well combined with the fasting.
Regardless. I feel great! Another thing I noticed is, and that might be age related although I keep telling myself it is not, fact is and has been for at least 5 years: I do so much better if I eat a bit less carbs. I just love em so much and I DO NOT think carbs are the devil at all. I think god gave us food groups and he wants us to use them all, but particularly on my fasting days it makes 100% sense that I stay high protein. The other days it doesn't matter as much :)
Anyway. So I will had a lovely bland lunch on Monday which will put the fasting period to 17 hours. Good enough.
Not sure if it was wise to go to the gym that morning as was struggling a bit with hunger, but I made it through OK:)
